I have 2 computers that I want to share the internet simultaneously. One is upstairs and the other is downstairs. Both have wireless network cards and the wireless router is downstairs next to that computer. Everything is connected correctly. Its a linksys router, and network cards.. Its asking me whether i want an Infrastructure network or an Ad-Hoc network. WTF is that? What do i want? both are broadcasting on the same SSID. And both cards say they are active and running but Im not getting internet to to them.

    wireless netoworking>me :hs:

ad hoc means you are going from computer to computer without the access point

make sure you use some form of security (wep + mac filtering + disable ssid broadcast)
