wireless network people

    i'm running a wired network using a router. i want to upgrade it so it supports wireless also. do i just plug a wireless router into my regular router or do i need access point? thx

    a wireless router is an access point. you can run a cable from one router's uplink port to the other router's uplink port.

    you probably have a "home gateway" which is really a router and switch put together. A "wireless home gateway" is really a router, a switch, and an access point all in the same box.

    You could either add an access point, or you could get a wireless "router" and replace your existing one.
