Not sure if they're all like this, but my MacBook is very weird when it comes to wireless internet. I'm in the same room as my wireless router and in some parts of the room I get a great connection but in others it's slower. This room isn't big at all, it's an average sized bedroom. Sometimes I'll hold my MacBook sideways or put it in a weird spot to get max speed.

Are they all like this or should I look into it?

no, if your using 10.4.10 is been documented that macbooks are having problems with this issue.

Once I get connected to my Dlink DIR-655 with my MBP I don't have any problems. Problem is getting connected. I usually have to turn off airport and turn it back on once or twice before I get on.

    Hopefully Leopard fixes this.

This is really starting to get frustrating. My router is literally 10 feet away and the only two spots in this room where my MacBook acts weird are the only two spots I use it

Is this definitely a software issue?
