    Hi there,

    I've been able to install Debian, but I can't figure out how to get wireless config to set up my PCMCIA wireless card.

    As far as I can tell, my PCMCIA card isn't even being recognized by Debian, and is not being powered on. I have a NetGear WG511 and the latest version of Debian. 2. something

    That's all I really know, im new to Debian / Linux in general. I can get the computer on the network hardwired, but it's easier at my house to be wireless so I can move from room to room as required.

    Thanks,

    yourfather.

    *snipped from above site*

    The PCMCIA modules in Debian 2.2 do not support the wireless cards (you need at least pcmcia-cs version 3.1.12) very well. Download from the unstable distribution:

    * A kernel: kernel-image-2.2.17 for example.
    * The PCMCIA packages corresponding: pcmcia-cs and pcmcia-modules-2.2.17.
    * The wireless tools.
