Just got a new computer, a Dell. I was wondering if there was any way to enhance the capability of of my Dell TrueMoblie 1300 USB Adapter? I know that placing it closer to the wireless access point is one way. In this case, not an option.

If you do have access to the access point itself, make sure it is as far away from fans (like the ones in a power supply) and high voltage wires as possible, since those things create electromagnetic fields that will interfere with the access point.

The "card" so to speak, that I have is a 6" x 2.5" rectangle that connects via a USB port to the PC. It just kinda sits there and has two lights on it that flash from time to time. I was wondering if there was a) any thing physical I could do to it to get it to recieve better. Or b) if there is any software that I can DL to increase the abilitly to find an ap. I have netstumbler now and it can't find anything.
