    Men's Coats

Why do you suck so much? :greddy:

I've been wanting to buy a nice coat for a while. Something with a collar that's casual, but nice enough to wear for a night out. I'm picky about my clothing, but usually I can find things I think look alright. It's rare that I see a men's coat that I would even consider buying. Is it just me or do 99% of men's coats/jackets look like crap? :ugh: I've looked in malls, online, even the expensive ass clothing stores and they all look so mediocre to me.

So I call on the power of the OT Style Lab. Guys and girls, post a men's coat that you think looks good and hopefully I won't be so pessimistic anymore. :hsd:

holy shit..i bought a banana republic peacoat during the winter and its one of the best peacoats ive tried on because it actually fits slim, another one was from H&M but it was so shitty and the material they used made me itch. the burberry one i wanted fits like a fuckin trash bag

I have a peacoat from J.Crew that I got a few years ago, and it is still probably my favorite clothing item. It is a bit too boxy (but I think I bought a size too large to begin with... had to buy it that moment though, was leaving the country soon after :hs: ), but thats not a problem for a competent tailor to fix.

These two are nice too

Burberry makes custom ones if you're willing to shell out the dough.

Burberry coats are nice, but way overpriced. I could never imagine dropping 2,000 on a coat. Even at the outlet, they go for 1,200. :(

i don't have pics it's in storage but it fits slim and i got some compliments from random people when i was wearing it. one girl wanted to know where i got it (for her husband :hs:), and another guy said my coat was the only one he's like and he's been looking forever :dunno:

so... have you checked out kenneth cole?

The problem I've been having with most coats I see is the overall styling. When I shop for other articles of clothing--shirts, pants, sunglasses and such--I can usually find a good amount that I'm interested in and then I'll try them on and see how they fit. But with coats I can't even get to that stage because nothing ever catches my eye. Sometimes I come across one where I start thinking maybeeeee...so i try it on and it never works out :wtc:

I have actually. I'll look again. Nothing that jumps out at me, but they look good thanks. If I saw them in a store I'd try em on. :)

I picked up a great looking three-quarter top coat from Banana Republic. Fabric is VERY similar to the one on the cover of the GQ posted above. They are awesome to have and I get a great reaction from girls in it too.
