My friend RAR'd something for me and he made it into 2 volumes because it was too big to fit on the ftp he was uploading it to(he put the first volume up, i got it, he deleted the first then put the 2nd one on, etc). The file names are blah.part1.rar and blah.part2.rar, when i try to start extracting part 1 it just extracts the file in there and says its corrupt, and doesn't go to volume 2 to get the remainder of the file, how do i get it work?

sorry if this sounds confusing, i dont really know how to explain it all that well.

do you have both *.part1.rar and *.part2.rar in the same directory? That should be all you need to do.

then you double click on the *.part1.rar and then click&drag the file from the WinRAR window to your preffered directory?
I made a multi-part RAR and extracted it just like this with no problem.

actually usually when I dont have the same file in the folder, or the file dosent exist, it prompts me anyhow...

not sure how to fix it, just wanted to point that out, seems odd
