Windows XP stuck at login

    any solution to this problem?

    it seems like it just freezes there. I also hear the logon sound but aftert aht nothing happens. just frozen :(

    This may seem weird, but I had this problem happen once I just hit enter a couple times and it finished booting.

    this is going to seem funny but I had the same problem and It pissed me off.. I look at the back of the computer Tower to see if everything was hooked up right. It looked good and the only thing on my tower that was not clear was the Mouse plug in and the Keyboard plug in.. I had them in the wrong ports that is why it was freezing on me.. And the keyboard and Mouse was still working in the wrong port. It was wierd but I contacted them correctly and no more freezing for me..

    Are you logging into a PDC? If so, if its win 2K, then there is a sync issue. Win 2K uses synchronous logins and XP asynchronous logins, so there is a hotfix available to help improve login time. I may have a copy here if you nee it?
