Windows XP SP2 CMD questions

    I can no longer run any commands in the CMD window
    Anyone seen this?

    I have tried the following commands

    ping
    tracert
    ipconfig
    netstat

    they all work from the RUN window, but that isn't much help :)

    ERROR
    C:\Documents and Settings\mobley>ping
    'ping' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

    Yah that sounds right, i'm used to a Unix path so I couldn't remember what the variable was called in Windows to check.

    Try this and see if the results are similar to mine:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Rob>echo %PATH%
    C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem
