    Yay or nay?

Im upgrading in a month or so here, and Id like to know how reliable this is. Are there any benefits to using it? Right now the only 64bit app Id be running would be Far Cry. Also Ive heard that theres problems with drivers or something, and if anyone could give some insight into this matter that would be great. Thanks.

driver support kinda sucks right now, but should improve quickly as the final version has been released. It will be a tiny bit faster than 32bit because of the 64bit memory addressing, but don't expect it to be night and day.

I used it for a little while on my newest system and it was very frustrating. First you will need to track down all your 64 bit hardware drivers and make sure that nothing you have needs any 16 bit apps because those are gone in 64 (just something to keep in mind).

I used it at work (Fortune 500 company), and it was too unstable on my development machine. YMMV. It did seem more responsive than XP32.

Our biggest issue is that Clearcase doesn't support the platform yet.
