I just installed a brand new hard drive on my friends computer, the OS works perfect but it seems that the sound card, internet card, are not working. (Mouse and Keyboard work fine). and hes not able to play CDs. IMO i think it needs drivers updates but he cant connect to the internet. is there any way i can burn the drivers into a cd and then download them into his computer or could it be a motherboard problem?

Yes, you can download the drivers on another machine, burn them to a CD and install them on the machine.

What kind of computer? You should be able to get the drivers from the manufacturers website.

For gateway drivers you can find them from support.gateway.com you need the serial # however it will ask for it or the model # and you can get what you need from there. Dump it to a disc (close the session so the other computer can read it) or jump drive and install the drivers there. Do your network first them you can obtain the rest of it from said reloaded computer

Download the drivers from the manufacturer's website
Put them on a flash drive (why waste a disc?)
    Install on his PC
    ???
    Profit
