I see that many people have already tried Vista.

I was curious where people get their versions of Vista. :hs:

The beta version can be downloaded for free off Microsoft's website. However, the beta version will expire within one year of installation OR when Microsoft announces the final release of Vista.

Hey, have you tried it yet?
I hate to admit that I'm starting to be curious about Vista, but I am.
Unfortunately, most of us are going to be stuck with it so I might as well check it out, I guess.

I subscribe to Microsoft Technet so I get legal copies of most of their OS and Server software with no time limits. Vista RTM was posted last week.

Are the companies your working for going to get Vista as soon as it's officially released? XP does a good job if you ask me, stable and what not. Are'nt they worried about the inevitable bugs it's gonna be filled with on release?

I definitely would NOT recommend going to it right away. It's a very cool OS, but it needs some time to work out the kinks.

I have Vista through the beta testing program. Although I'm running because of my work, it's still a few months before software and hardware vendors catch up with drivers and software updates.

I would wait until it's officially released before I would worry about upgrading.
