So I just got a new computer that has Windows Vista Business edition, and I'm starting to notice my icons randomly disappearing. For example, I'm navigating through folders and suddenly all icons have the "generic file" icon on it. After closing the window and opening a new one, the icons come back. Just now I noticed that my Firefox and Thunderbird icons are gone from both the Quick Launch bar and the Start Menu.

What could be causing this? I have an Intel duo core T7200 (2 GHz), 2 gb RAM, and that hybrid sony graphics system (SZ430N model). Thanks for the help!

No-one has any idea? Could it be a video card error? Here's a screenshot for reference. I'm just concerned this could be something bigger than a small glitch in Windows.

(Icons for Firefox, Thunderbird, and Photoshop are gone from start menu, as well as Spyware Terminator on the desktop, and most of my Adobe programs from the Programs menu)

    Thanks for any help!
