Ok so I'm sure that anyone who has a Windows Mobile 5 phone and uses their calendar a lot (like me) has seen this problem: something happened when daylight savings time switched over and now the calendar doesn't work right.

There is a patch you can get by visiting:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/default.mspx

    or:

    windowsmobile.com (on your phone)

The patch is supposed to fix the problem but it hasn't. Here's what happens:

I created like 30 recurring calendar entries (all my classes plus my work schedule for two jobs for the next quarter). They look fine in Outlook. When I sync it to my phone, everything is enterred an hour late. If I change the time on entry on the phone to the correct time, it will show an hour early in Outlook on the next sync.

Is there something I am missing? Can I turn off daylight savings on the phone itself? It seems like the phone is compensating for a shift in hours that does not exist.

    HEEEELLLLP!

I found the answer. It seems that if you're using WXP or Vista, it updates automatically but if you're on 2000, you have to use the timezone manager to update the daylight savings time manually.

    go to this page http://support.microsoft.com/gp/dst_hu2?systemlist=w32

    for instructions!
