Since I'm lazy, I added an ftp site to my network places (my ftp shows up now to the left in windows explorer). Most of the time it'll load the ftp properly, giving me a directory view... but sometimes it's acting up and it keeps asking for the password over and over again (even though I type in the right password/it's saved). Also, a more advanced question, is there any way to change the content menu in the FTP browser? I double click my PHP files (which default to notepad), but they still open in IE. Any ideas?

only advice i can offer would be to get a real ftp client. I like LeechFTP (it's freeware), you can get it at download.com The windows built in ftp stuff is pretty much crap.

Just to elaborate, what he means is that Windows FTP doesn't have the built in retry and fault tolerances that a real client has.
