Have any network drives mapped that are no longer available?

    Anyways, try this:

open an exlorer window go to > Tools > Folder options
a window will popup, click on VIEW tab
disselect "Automatically search for network folders and printers" check box

on top, click on Apply to all folders
    click OK
    close all folders
    try again

If your digital camera stores all its pictures on a memory card, the best solution is to buy a multi-card reader that fits into a floppy drive bay and connects using an internal USB cable. I hooked my mom's computer up with that, it works great. Reads CompactFlash, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, (whatever that really flat kind of card is), etc...
