we have a 18gb openedge database that backs our production software at work. Lately our pagefile has been growing more and more, its now 2.98gb in size. We have plenty of RAM, just not utilizing it.

What kind of performance hits are occuring because it's all getting dropped to our database? There have been no complaints of performance or slowness issues on anything, I'm just trying to understand what can/will happen if this continues.

We hard set all our servers, min is 1.5 times, max is 3.0 times . . . everything runs A-OK, might be over kill though, we've never done any performance testing. It works so we tend to keep it that way on new installs . .
