How do I stop files from being saved into the Documents column under the Start button. What I mean is, if I view a video on Windows Media Player, for example, Windows automatically will show it in the Documents list when I press Start and highlight Documents. How do I stop this from happening?

Why don't people just ask how they can stop their mommy or daddy from noticing their son is into gay porn?

Seems that Chuck here was trying to respond to your insult
    ahm...
but instead of posting in this thread he started a brand new thread. Seems as though he can make a big enough fool of himself without our help.
To respond to the original question, I don't know.

I know that actually... I just figured if you can't use the internet to solve your problems (ie a google search), perhaps you shouldn't be downloading porn in the first place. It's not like Microsoft makes a utility that tweaks your user interface you know...

Or, another way to put it, if you're clever enough to find free porn, you should know how to clear your documents.

So what your saying is that there is a tweak utility that would allow this type of thing? the name wouldn't be like tweakui or something like that? I haven't ever used that utility, but it seems like it does some interesting things...
By the way, I agree that when you download the porn you need to know how to clean up after yourself or you're gonna get caught...

    hey Jimbo

Since you're so perfect, I suppose you never had to ask any questions regarding anything nor have you ever made a mistake regarding computers, right? I thought so. Perfect must be a lonely place dude. Like an ass who obviously makes a fool of himself due to an Off-Topic mistake, I though this was a place to get some actual help and advice regarding computers and programming but I guess its just a place for "perfect" people to degrade the not-so-perfect ones. Anyhow, thanks for taking actual time to respond in such a meaningless and arrogant manner and by the way, my question had NOTHING to do with porn or how to "clean up after myself". The clean-up part I'm clear on, it is the "preventing" part that I wasn't clear on. But now with yours and Prelude's magnificently helpful insights, I'm sure I know what to do. Do me a favor both of you immature clowns, NEVER EVER respond to anything I ask again. Don't waste my time you morons! Let the knowledgeable people handle the responses!

    No kids here pal

Grow up and go back to your computer-drone life. Know who you're talking to before you say something. Seems you're the kid here Buckwheat! :fawk:

Alright - be honest then. Why would you care about your recent documents?

    Re: hey Jimbo

    Where do you come off?
I thought we answered your question pretty well with some of the later responses, but if you don't want it, that's cool, I guess.
I thought what happened was kind of funny. I wasn't trying to be overly cruel or anything. Sorry if it came off wrong.
In case you are still wondering, in Google do a search for tweakui and it will bring up links to a couple of microsoft pages where you can download the utility.
Once you have it installed, you can use the privacy section of the utility to clear the Documents folder whenever a new logon occurs. That might not be exactly what you are looking for, but it should be a step in the right direction.
    Later.
P.S. Don't take everthing so personal man.
