Im going to setting up a domain on a new system, I havent ever used 03, allways 2000.

should i try to set it up with the new? or use the old?
all its going to be is a shared resource for remote desktoping, and VPN and a file server

    Thanks

Its not too different. You shouldn't have any problems. It has a bunch of little improvements for example:

You can run DC promo without having to connect it to a hub that's not connected to anything to keep it from seeing your other servers (or your router's DHCP server) and giving you an error. I always thought that was stupid in 2000

Also with 2k3 you can RDP to the console. Plus it handles VPN + NAT better too.
