    hey guys,

im going to reinstall windows on a hard drive with 2 partitions.

    Partition 1: 50gigs
    Partition 2: 450gigs

id like the OS on partition 1 since all my existing data is on 2

but when i go to setup windows...its forcing Partition 1 to be D: and 2 to be C:

    any way to swap this?

Hmmm - well I would set it up in D as normal, then remove the drive letter for "c:" in disk manager. Then reinstall again - it shouldn't mark it as a drive letter and allow the new partition to be C. Hopefully. I've never tried though - I've always just nuked the whole drive and start from scratch.
