what kind do u guys have and to what percentage?
does the uv refector really work?
I've had 5 all around my daily, sadly had to remove it.
Then there is the current weekender, she's got 30% on her windows, too light. I'm planning to go to 5% on her.
I've got 50% on my front windows, and 30% on all my back windows.
Does anyone know what % is "legal" so to speak? When I had my old Talon tinted, I told him to go as dark as he could as long as it was still acceptable by law and I still got pulled and ticketed all the time.
Depends on state statute, here it's 70% in front, and 30% in the back.
The tint place probably just lied to you, almost all tint is illegal. Plus no one factors in that a stock window only lets in about 75% of light in to begin with.
If you're reasonable about it, and don't have like 5%, and don't drive a riced out car, you'll probably be alright. Just make sure you roll down your windows if you get pulled over.
well to figure out the law :
thats where i found mine out
AL is 32% all around, but I see people run around with 20% tint on a regular basis.
I'm overdue for some tint and I'm planning on keeping it legal.
Are you sure that's right?
It seems they have revised this down to 25% on all door windows, still none on the windshield, and any amount on the rear glass. Hooray!
who gives a fuck if its illegal
you, when you get pulled over all the time and fined some places are better than others though.
I've read more than one account of getting pulled over for illegal tint, the cop using his meter thing to verify it's illegal, then running someblunt object across the tint on the drivers door to put a cut in it.
I hate california
My last car was 20% all the way around... never got pulled but got a lot more questionable looks... spent a lot of time either turning an interior light on or rolling down the front windows. Went to 35 in the front and 20 in the back and the cops don't seem to stare as much...
Other observations... the darker the car, the darker you can tint... there's less of a contrast between the paint and the windows. Lighter cars the tint sticks out more...
i got 100% allllll around fuck yea!!
35% all around on my 95 celica. my cars black and has a black leather inside so people generally think its darker than it is.
