I just recently installed XP Home and it seems like my system is actually slower than it was with Win 2000Pro. Windows takes longer to load up, pages take longer to open on the net, just generally slower overall. Is there a reason for this? Can I fix it? Is this an upgrade issue? Please help.

Cuz XP sucks? Sorry I'm a W2K Nazi - I haven't seen anything that encourages me to switch.

win 2000 pro is built on the NT kernel......2000 Pro > XP home edition. get rid of home. and get either 2000 pro or XP pro (its also built on the NT/2000 kernel)

It's Microsoft. ;) Do you need further explanation? ;) See below for reason.

It's basically the GUI. If you are unhappy with the performance, simply select to run the desktop in classic mode. It removes all the XP pretty crap, and it will run a hell of a lot smoother.
