I've got this thing clamped to the table, I'm using a good sized punch, and now a full-sized claw hammer, and this sight isn't budging.

Scope will come later. I'm using the stock sights on this for now.

is it drift adjustment? Don't they make special tools for that? Used one to replace the stock sights with night sights on my glock.

I have a 10/22 with drift adjustable high-visibility fiber rear sight. Does it have a set screw in the dovetail?

Nah, no set screw. That thing is just in there tighter than a virgin midget pussy on a cold december night.

I hate that damn thing, I don't shoot mine much anymore because I'm too lazy to adjust the sight.

I finally got it free, but the lack of fine adjustment capability has convinced me to bite the bullet and just buy a cheap scope I can put on the weaver rail that came with the rifle, even though it's not spectacular.

I don't have the slightest clue, to be honest. I'm sort of holding my breath for the gf to get a job (which she is working dillgently on :hs:) before I start thinking about buying stuff again.

I'm open to suggestions, though. :o

I always liked the stock sites on my 10/22 but I've been shooting it since I was 13, I guess I've just learned to deal with it. I tried a scope for a while but it was a cheap airgun scope so I went back to the regular sights. someday I'm gonna build a custom left handed 10/22...with a real scope.

ill admit it was pretty intimidating to me when I first found it as well, but after a bit of searching and reading I think ive got it figured out. There is a wealth of information there if you know how to look for it.

I don't find it the slightest bit intimidating (what could be worse than OT?), I just find the overwhelming number of poorly explained opinions to be lots of chaff to sift through.
