Thoughts? Have you ever shot one, do you own one? I've been looking into buying one when I get out of training.

I have a pre-war Model 70 and really like it :dunno: The action (assuming your getting one of the classic models with CRF) is considered to be one of the best actions of all time so you cant really go wrong.

Not to hijack your thread, but is the model 70 a better rilfe than the Remington 700 PSS?

A model 70 action is good as is a 700 remington. You will find though that the 700 is easier to find stuff for.

The PSS is designed as a tactical sniper rifle while Winchester doesnt make any rifles of this type; when you compare a Model 70 to a PSS you're comparing a hunting rifle to a tactical rifle

I love my A-Bolt, and .270WSM is a great caliber for deer and other medium sized game. I'd shell out the extra $100 and get a Medallion though, it's so much prettier :hs:

    :werd:

If you're shelling out for an A-bolt spend the extra money and get a Medallion, they're much better looking. You could also get a BOSS and deafen your friends and family :o
