    Ok

I Have my laptop running windows XP (because it came with it) and I picked up an Iomega USB CDRW Drive so I can make CDs. Well, for some reason the Drive does not read any of the CDs as valid blank CDs. It reads and can play formatted CDs but it will not read blank ones as blank, only as already data filled CDs. I have tried with many different types of CDRs, still the same problem.

A girl I know that works for MS said that XP and Iomega have some problems and that she has a file that could possibly fix it..but she is now in the hospital and cannot get me the file.

anyone know of this problem or how to fix it?

    Thanks

    eric
