I am currently running WIN ME and need to stay on ME. Cannot upgrade to a newer, more reliable OS b/c of the software and hardware i run on my machine. wondering if anyone else is still using me and could help me out. throughout the day, my PC will reboot randomly. i get a 0xd, 0x0, messages, then it reboots. i checked my fan. my drivers. everything looks good.
anyone else experience something like this?

sux that me doesnt have an event viewer either.

Try testing your memory. Go to www.memtest86.com and download the program. Let it run overnight if you can since memory can fail intermittently. You may have a weak power suppl too.

    98 SE FTW

I've never seen any reason to use ME.

Next time you get the stop errors, write down the FULL error code and text.

Make sure the machine is set to halt on all errors. (Right click my computer, properties, advanced, startup and recovery, and uncheck automatically reboot under system failure).

You can usually google them or search in the Microsoft Knowledge Base for solutions...

If you can't even upgrade to Win2k, then "downgrade" to Win 98 SE

It is super stable as compared to the POS ME

Windows ME IS an error. Even the Microsoft guys I've talked to call it "Mangled Edition". I agree with 5Gen, if you can't upgrade, can you downgrade?
