I want to wipe my external hard drive and use it to be a bootable clone of my G5 hard drive. Then, i want to do a fresh install of Leopard and use Migration Assistant to migrate my applications back over (i'll duplicate my documents/photos/videos/etc. on the other internal HD)

So tell me if this is how I can do it:

    1. Use Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper to create a bootable clone on my external
    2. Reinstall Leopard on G5
    3. Use migration assistant to move applications back over
    4. profit?

If so, anything else I need to think of? I'll have to find where my emails in Entourage are stored and copy those back but will items like Final Cut, Adobe Standard Suite and other programs work just fine afterwards? The reason im doing this is because there are a few things im not happy with and i'd like to do a fresh install and get rid of all the miscellaneous crap sitting around from the many installations/uninstallations over the past 4 years.

Nope, I would just boot from the clone before you reinstall the OS, just to double check everything is good with the clone.
