I am looking at a local 20D with 10K actuations for $550... this seems like a pretty good price, no?

I'm just thinking of it as a stopgap until I can afford/justify a 40D. I'd like to sell it for close to what I paid once I'm ready to upgrade :x:

prices will hover around $500-600 for awhile and will eventually drop down in the $400 range. If you look at the 300D and 350D, they hovered around $400-500 for a few years and are finally dropping down to $350-400.

If you don't buy the 20D now, you won't save much in 6-10 months, maybe 20-30 bucks. I'd take the plunge.

got it... the winning bid ended up being $620, but I think it was still a decent deal. now to get some lenses... I just have the 50mm 1.8 and crappy 28-70 3.5-5.6 kit lens from my old film SLR.

Buy my Tamron 28-75 2.8 for $300. Great condition, comes with everything. Focuses perfectly on my 30D.
