:dunno: Think about all the stuff we use that needs gas and oil to operate. How many years do they keep saying that we will run out of oil? 50? That's not a long time to revamp and create new technology to redistrubute to our whole military. Well yes it is considering the world wars and where we are today, but still. Do you think we'll tap into Alaska when that happens and take over the world? :eek4:

If there is ever a shortage of oil, the government and military will have priority over civilians. Just like in WW2 there was a shortage of steel, aluminum, etc.

It's all about Nuclear Power, it's teh new hotness.
Not sure how long it would take to design Super G.I.Joe style city block sized land rovers with a nuclear reactor, but they should take 6-12 months a piece to build once the design has been ironed out. :dunno:
Not sure if i would trust the Army at another go with reactors though, without the Navy's help that is. :fawk:

OMFG are you guys fucking bonkers , why there are like 328 million different types of useless fungus that will be killed if we drill Alaska. Good God why would you ever look at options for maintaining our super power status!?!?!? *end tree hugger impression* I agree with you guys, we should be gettin the infrastructure for it set up honestly just in case, bc with the way things are soundin the possibility of some type of mil action on Iran is ever increasing(the nuclear issue is to go to the security council next month). We need to be doing more than just looking at options we need to be actively securing said options wit the global environment in the condition its in, just my .02 tho.
