i know the supply/demand laws and all that but since suppliers can sells for higher now, and peoples are willing to buy, there wouldnt be any incentive for suppliers to drop their prices :dunno:

i shouldve bought an ar pistol lower when it was $125 :hs:

Probably not ammo unless we find a way to grow brass on trees.

If the government doesn't do anything to f*ck w/ prices, then they HAVE to go down. What other product suddenly sky rocketed in price due to an external event (election in this case), and didn't drop off sharply in price after the hysteria died down??

Unfortunately, I think we are stuck with these sh*t prices and lack of availability for some time to come. It really pisses me off w/ summer coming up. I'd love to be able to shoot a lot more w/out being gouged by indoor range prices, but the lack of ammo availability and the price makes me want to just hold onto what I've got.

the prices of nearly everything we buy at work went up, when metals went up... it hasn't dropped yet, and i don't see that happening.

not as long as manufacturers keep dragging their feet, and people keep panic buying. It doesn't help that the biggest problem is scum bag dealers buying up all the surplus ammo online, or going in and clearing out wal mart, and then turning around at the gun shows and selling it at outrageously marked up prices. If people stopped buying from assholes like that, we wouldn't have half the problem we do now.

If the govt would let us import all that ammo they're burning up over seas, this crisis probably wouldnt be happening.

But it's stimulating the economy I guess.

They're probably doing what my company is doing and not putting capital in place because they know the lean time is coming and a heavy period cost structure will kill their financials.

A lot of people thought gas would never be below $3/gal again, and look how that turned out.

If Obama loses in 2012, then yes. As long as he as president, and the Dems control congress, prices will probably not drop much on guns.

Not anytime soon. I'm doing my best not to buy any factory ammo but now I'm just buying primers which are subject to the same price hike and crazy hoarding. :hs:

Jesus. I'm doing my best to just use what I have and just picking up what I need from Midway when I can, but it's tough to not just pick up tens of thousand of primers. :hs:

Too bad the range I use doesn't allow firing reloads. If you're caught using them you get permabanned :ugh:

Mine allows them "after they are tested by a BSR employee" but fuck letting them shoot up 100rds of my ammo. Don't ask, dont tell in my book.

People can't keep buying and buying and buying everything they can get their hands on forever. Unless Obama and/or the democrats actually impose a large tax and/or bans, the prices will have to eventually come back down.

I'm already starting to see the prices of used guns come down a little. A month or two ago, a severely over-priced gun could be posted for sale and be gone only hours later. Now I'm seeing over-priced guns just sitting there, and the for sale post being updated with "reduced price" every few days.

Ammo is a different story because basically everyone is out of stock right now. Until supply starts to catch up with demand, we will continue to see crappy ammo prices.

I am seeing guns become more reasonable too, well at least with rifles. Handguns are still insanely priced.
