I'm kind of cheap, and the only purpose the Apple will serve is audio editing (and if I feel, maybe to run Photoshop). I noticed the 350MHz iMacs run pretty cheap on eBay, was thinking about picking one up for audio editing. Question is, will it run the latest OS, and GarageBand without any bumps? I know in our Mac lab P-Shop runs very nicely on these, so is iLife the same story?

Also, if there are any alternitives that mean faster performance and not having to by a PC with a CRT for around the same cost, fill me in.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't thinking last night. I'd be using it with a MIDI keyboard, and record stuff I'd play from the keyboard and use loops and such and make tracks with GarageBand. I'd problably finalize and edit my stuff with a Windows box. But will a G3 do this OK? I'm sorry, but I just can't afford a $550 machine right now.
