obviously standing and throwing bombs with rampage isnt the best idea for chuck, and probably wont be the best idea with hendo either.

if there happens to be iceman-rampage 3 any chance chuck goes for a takedown?

    IMO, i doubt it.

with the way rampage ground n pounded him the first time they fought, I doubt Chuck would want to be anywhere near the ground against Rampage.

He got caught with one punch on the point of his chin on the way out of an exchange, its not like he needs to totally re consider his strategy as a fighter.

Then he got caught with a whole bunch more when rampage jumped on him and pounded him.

I'm not saying completely. Just solely for rampage. He's lost the standup game twice now to QJ. I'm very curious to see how his top game would be if he tried to GnP rampage.

Chuck always talks about how he loves to put a show on for the fans but rampages chin is just that much better. Chuck is gonna have to put on a snorefest LnP to get his belt back.

    .
People talk like he got demolished for 5 rounds. He simply took a good punch that put him down. There's no need to change his gameplan. Unless he gets dominated by Jardine :mamoru:

maybee its time for him to start using more of his striking game. when was the last time we really saw him using his kicks. he hasnt changed up his game because its been working for him but being complacent is really what ruins champions. he hasnt evolved his game because he hasnt needed to. I think now we will start seeing more dynamic striking from him.

he can take people down remember his fight against overeem he was getting owned in the stand up and followed up with a double immediately to end the onslaught.

we have to see what happens though

As soon as I saw the prefight interview where Chuck said he didn't change his gameplan much for this fight I knew he would lose. Long range single shot boxing is useless against Rampage's CM defense. Its like Chuck's camp never saw the first fight between the two, or either of the Wanderlei vs Rampage fights.

To me, this was one of the biggest blunders in MMA history, simply because Chucks camp had so many Rampage fights where they could see what to do, and what not to do.

he was already down at that point. those don't mean a thing, rampage was just finishing the fight at that point.

Couture has never changed his gameplan/style. He's still "just a wrestler".

his plan is always keep it standing, knock you the fuck out

he still has both abilities, so i doubt he'd change it much. now, he'll just train evading more i assume :o

I certainly don't see him being able to out-wrestle or over-power Rampage... so striking is his only hope... He has shown big time KO power in many fights, and definitely has a good chance to catch Rampage... I think Rampage still beats him 4/5 times...

he got completely dominated on his feet by rampage for the whole round in pride.
just recently he got clocked by rampage with a perfectly executed parry then counterpunch.

what the hell he has changed it several times. when he went up against chuck with the first win he got a more vicious boxing game and thats how he beat him and when he fought silvia he trained heavily in muay thai and thats how he beat him
