I had one issue riding home the slave cylinder took a dump on me and I had to ride the bike home in 1st gear the last 4 miles home. I talked to the guy who I bought the bike from and he said he would pay for the repairs and I'm sure he had no clue. The thing had no fluid in it when I got home bone dry. Oh well :hsugh:

What'd it set you back? I actually have no clue in regards to the models of Ducati's besides the Monster range :o

So is that weird looking black thing a Buell Blast?

7K with 7600 miles not a bad deal plus I don't have to worry about service for 6K.

Well this is what they call a superbike compared to monsters they are 4 valves water cooled (monster being 2v air and oil cooler). The 916 has a oil cooler but the 748 does not.

Yes the Buell Blast is next to it I ride it more then the Superbikes :ugh: I know it sounds weird but I like the fact that I can go do stuff like going to the store and not even having a 2nd though if the bike is ok. Plus nobody stops me and asks me questions about it. INCOGNITO:fawk: Oh it also gets 63mpg and with a back pack on it's a more comfortable ride. It's for sale now so I don't expect to have it much longer.:x:

Just a little short thing, I went to Walgreens to pick up my wife's Meds and some fucken redneck with missing teeth comes up to me and says ya it's pretty but a 600cc jap bike will blow it's doors away on the track. I did not say anything just mounted on the bike started to put my gear on. Bottom line I don't like the attention nor do I care what some guy thinks about what I ride. I ride what I want to ride and I happen to like Ducati old school superbikes.

Another time I was at subway meeting my wife for lunch I pulled up and parked infront of the window so I can keep a eye on the bike. Some old lady and I mean old in her 70s came up to me and said that's a handsome motorcycle. I said thank you. As soon as I got my food and sat down with my wife she way out side touching the bike. It was not a big deal but it's fucking annoying.

So like having anything fast rare and expensive, it's more of pain in the ass then people really think it is.

The 748 it handles better and I like the kick in the ass it gives you over 6K. But the 916 is much faster and pulls like a train from 1K and up.

I like both that's why I have both.

If I were a track going person I would use the 748. But that's just me:)

Not yet the 916 is getting all new OEM body work and I have to sort out the hack job the last owner did to the rear wiring for tail lights :wtc: . I will be restoring the bike to OEM glory which is not cheap but the only way I like them. I'm thinking Red:naughty:. I wonder if the Vin says the color Bi or Mono? I have to find that out or I'll be stuck with two yellow ducs.

Because the paint on the 916 seems to be fadding That's why I'm redoing all the plastic with new and going for RED. Plus the fact that I have not had time to really clean the bike up yet.

ture, I do ride both back to back just to sort the 916 out. Funny thing is the 916 is so much quicker I feel it handles worse but I'm just going much faster:rofl:

I have the suspetion settings =.

Yes she can ride. it easier to ride the 916 because the power is there and she does not have to rev it much or even play with the clutch like you need to on the 748. Easier to get going. Can she take the bike to 100% no but she knows her limits and she knows the bike flys.
