Wife suffers from severe post-workout soreness after leg days.

    Primarily in her hamstrings and quads. She has been working her legs for years, and still suffers from bad soreness. Is there a post-workout product she should be taking to help with this? She currently takes protein within 90 minutes of working out, a daily multi-vitamin, tri-flex, takes in over 80oz of water daily, and tries to eat fairly clean.

    She had also ordered the fitness and figure stack from Cytocharge, but I cancelled the order after not being able to find any information about the product other than what is on their site. Anyone familiar with this company?

    Anyways, she can incorporate a lot of stretching pre, during, and post workout. Also try riding the bike for 15 minutes at a moderate rate, it helps me tremendously.

    I also would recommend taking BCAA's at a higher dose the day before, the day of, and the day following the workout. I used to get considerable pain in my shoulders and this helped a lot.

    Yeah, she is looking at getting a product with BCAA's and glutamine.

    High dose Vitamin C along with BCAA/ EAA's.
    Maybe some active recovery the day after might help. Whether stretching or light cardio or even light weights to get a slght pump in the area.

    I'm 35, and due to multiple shoulder and knee surgeries my body hurts 99% of the time. I am in awe that you can maintain that build.

    vitamin c can be found at any vitamin/grocery store.

    for a BCAA supplement you can go liquid or pills. Xtend is a powder mix that is pretty popular... i use basic BCAA pills available at most vitamin stores or on websites.
