I got a new PC and was preparing to reformat my older PC---my brother's buying it off me for a 2nd machine.
    It had XP on it.
I t ried reformatting it from DOS, and something strange happened....it went from 15 Gigs to 7 Megs in size.
I pulled it and my buddy stuck it in his old crash and burn computer as a slave to check it out, and it said the same thing.
So we ran partition Magic 8, and tried to reformat it...it says there are 16000 MB bad on the drive. Reformat through PM8 gives error 4, and stops.
It's been switched to FAT16, and there doesn't seem to be any wat to change it.
    Any ideas!?

Will this process restore the drive back to FAT32?
    It thinks it's a FAT16.
