    I installed say cheese last night, its supposed to display web comics. It worked decently for a few minutes, than locked up. I hit alt and closed the widget and didnt think anything of it untill I got home 18 hours later. Whole machine was sluggish, I fired up activity monitor.

    my face => :eek4:

    say cheese was using 800mb of physical memory.

    I quickly killed the process, trashed the widget, ran periodic scripts, and did a restart.

    moral of the story: If a widget acts up, make sure the process ended.
