i'm just wondering why someone would choose to buy parallels over vmware fusion? to save $10?

    fusion: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?spart=TP185LL/A

    parallels:

i used parallels for a while...but it wasn't quite as good as i wanted it to be. i knew that virtualization would have it's limitations...obviously its not perfect yet, but vmware is much better than parallels imo

also, i was not able to install centos with parallels, but it worked fine with vmware fusion. and windows xp support is great as well

i'm just wondering if there is any benefit to getting parallels compared to getting vmware fusion? perhaps parallels has better linux support? i don't know

Single-vendor support is arguably a benefit. Personally I rock Fusion
