This is an out there type of question....

Okay, so if apple is very picky on how they design products, and how Pro they look...WTF is up with having powerbooks and G5's be silver/"whatever color ya want to call it" and have white powercords for the powerbooks and white keyboards/mouse for the G5's?

When I did have a powerbook for a month, I thought that looked totally un-pro, and looked rather silly.

Does anybody know the REAL reason, other then them buying it in bulk "saving money" thats a no brain...but why not just change the color's for those models?

I like my apples white IMO....all the other products they sell are white...

because apple tested silver power cables, and they couldn't handle the same voltage as the white ones. they werent as 1337 either.

reverand jesse jackson backed a frivolous lawsuit vs. apple and how apple let white monopolize their products, so steve jobs decided to settle and agreed to change the color scheme. he didnt want to get rid of all the white so he left all the smaller stuff silver.

no but really who gives a shit. IMO all white, or all silver looks tacky. especially all white, it looks very toyish. also look what happens when you buy a pc...
