Someone else finding everything wrong (for their needs) in a product doesn't make it crap.

I used to hate the hype for vista and didn't install until two weeks ago. Now I wish I installed earlier. This shit works and all the features are tweaked nicely.

Now I am assuming you made this thread because you are an OSX fan. Please play shadowrun or any recent blockbuster title on OSX and reply with your results.

I love how 90% of the vista haters have never even touched it.

I went back from Vista to XP Pro SP2. It looked pretty but lacking functionality.

I, along with the majority of the world use their comps for gaming. It is still the #1 platform for gaming in the world.

And yes...... the majority of mid/high end comps are built with the expectation for being able to game and view media.

btw, I would install linux before I touched OSX.

I have XP on my Core 2 duo macbook and Core Duo iMac :o

I don't want to go through the hassle of pirating Vista, so I'll just wait for the cheaper school version :o

I've used it at work for two weeks now, it certainly does have its annoying quirks and some seriously random system crashes/errors, but mostly it works fine.

Still a feature or two missing on the administrative side though. :hs:

One program required to access through a company's firewall. It's only available for XP 32-bit, no Vista release was made. It's critical that I need this program to work.
