On X360. Got it when it first came out. I think I got as far as starting the first Radio Station mission and haven't picked it up since.

Nowhere as engaging as Oblivion to me.

Yet its got a huge following. What did I miss?

If you can`t get into it, you can`t get into it. You can`t force it :hs:

In a way, I know what you are saying about Fallout 3 not being as engaging as Oblivion. After all, the world of F3 feels as its supposed to - an empty wasteland. Oblivion has a much richer environment and does look more full. I`d still say F3 is a better game though.

If you want to, try it again but do something you didn`t do during your first playthroughs... that is a cool thing about this game, play it however you want. Each playthrough can be very different

Don't bother trying again. Sometimes I try to get into games I feel I should like just because everyone else does, but it doesn't work. Same with Fallout 3 here. Didn't like it at all, couldn't get into it and I probably never will.

    Same here.

I loved Oblivion, but it was tough getting into F3.

    I didn't like it.

Then I decided to give it another go since OT praised it so highly and still didn't like it. Then I got the hang of it and I'm loving it. Still working on getting through it, taking my time and getting all the side quests. I haven't gone far on the main story, and I'm already at level 18. :hs:

It was cool but I liked oblivion better. I wanna play fallout 3 again for all the expansions but I just have no motivation or want to get into the game again :(

dont bother with the main story until you are bored with the game, It only takes a couple of hours to finish.

Pretty much what I'm doing. :o

I think I'm almost done exploring everywhere, I'll start knocking sidequests off after that. Done a bit of sides and a bit of main already. I'm having fun just leveling my guy up and getting rare weapons and shit. When do levels top out? 20? Higher if I get expansions? Not sure I want to buy a bunch of expansions... aren't there like $30 worth?

I've put a ridiculous amount of hours into fallout 3 and still not seen everything it has to offer. I've only just bothered to do the main quests and complete the storyline, which was actually pretty lame. It's definately worth playing again but some people just don't get on with it :dunno:

I didn't like it either, one of the most overrated games of 2008. I tried on 3 seperate occasions to get into it cause of all the hype but the game just bored me to tears. I'd rather stab my eyes out than think about his game again.

Hmmmm.... might have to get broken steel at the least. I'll be maxed long before I'm done if I don't...

Fallout 3 and Oblivion are both amazing games.

I'd go back and give it another shot.

Although PC > Xbox for mods and stuff for games like this.
