im been digging the A70 but i seen the G5 and its sex

i so want it, i want to explore my artistic side and i think it would be a better camear to do so with..

i have no knowledge of photography and im hoping to learn with this cam.. good idea or not.. i dont want to buy a cam and then have to buy another one to get better pics and whatever.. since i want to use this for amature photography, the 5MP will be a big plus when i print 8X10 photos

is this also a good point and shoot camera for my portfolio of piercings that i do..
i want it to be point and shoot easy for just snapping random pics and fully loaded for awesome shots

I would recommend the G5. I love mine.

    *BUT*

G3 is cheaper, and is still 4mp. You'll get less chromatic aberrations (the magenta halos on highlights) and an extra hundred bucks or so in your wallet.

4mp should still give you good 8x10's.

    Good price on the g5.

How often do you plan to print 11x14?

I've had the G5 for about 5 months or so-my biggest gripe with it, is that it's not really all that small. It's either in your bag, in your hand, or maybe a sweatshirt kangaroo pouch. There's no way it fits in your jeans pocket, and the lens cap it comes with, pops right off, exposing your lens to whatever sharp crap you have floating around nearby.

I plan on getting a lens adapter from lensmateonline and fix a UV filter on there so I don't have to worry about the lens cap problem anymore.
