I think this is gonna be the sickest matchup in a loooooong time.

Faber is a machine and I'm anxious to see him go toe to toe with such a winning fighter.

I don't understand how he is so strong for his size + has the conditioning he does.

I still can't wait to see it.

Jens at FW is much more of a savage than Jens at LW

that said, Faber should dismantle him

    Tyson Griffin

griffin pretty much dominated him, but he's naturally a lot bigger than Urijah

Whoa...I just sherdog'd him. I bet Urijah would love to avenge that one.

He was WAY bigger and the fight was pretty good till Faber got that nasty cut on his head from the cage. It wad directly on top of his head and he said it fucked him up bad. Said he fought oddly after that, like it wasn't even him.

He has made alot of excuses for why he lost that fight if I remeber correctly. That was also the only fight that Tyson cut to 145 for saying that he would never do it again because of how he felt

Nope, I never did follow FW much until recently. I'm loving the pace though :eek3:

Now that he's been UFC does that mean he can't do WEC?

UFC has non-compete clauses in their contracts, right?

I don't keep up with Faber that much, just like to watch him fight. I think it was an interview in Fight Magazine that I read that.

He could of possibly made more excuses, I have no idea.

If he was really interested in fighting the top 145 lb guys he could have gone over to Japan like Melendez did

he's fought lots of good fighters

lots of pundits say that lots of the best FWs are in japan (i.e. shooto...+ imanari). however, he's pretty much dominated everybody he's faced (save griffin), and it can be argued that lots of those other FWs in other orgs haven't faced much competition themselves

people keep touting Kid as the best FW, but who has he beat recently?

yeah but they are owned by the same company (Zuffa) so there's potential for cross over fights

right now they don't want WEC fighters to move up to the UFC so it doesn't make it seem like a feeder promotion...there has been talks of champion vs champion but since the UFC guys will destroy most of the WEC guys, they don't think it'll be a good idea and only end up making the WEC look bad
