Any way to reduce the noise in my pics at full resolution (2272 x 1704)? I get it at ISO50, which is what the example pic I'm going to post is. Camera was set to ISO50, SuperFine Large Resolution, no flash.

Here is the pic cropped, and resized in photoshop. Notice the noise in the sky?

Here is the Full Size, unedited pic...loaded with noise.

Is this just the Canon A80 or are my settings off? How can I reduce the noise?

can the A80 do a raw format? It's probably just jpeg compression

No RAW or TIFF, only Superfine JPEG. But even at full size there's an incredible amount of noise.

Dont know if this has to do anything with the camera but take the same pic without the polarizer filter.

So, I take it I just have to live with the noise then? Thought the A80 was supposed to be one of the top cameras $500 and under in image quality?

    You were told wrong. :o

Yeah, there's noise in the A series when it comes to huge spans/gradients of a single colour/hue.
