why is safari using up so much memory?

    modified it any? that does seem a bit high.

    it's also good to shut safari down and restart it on occasion. it's got some memory "issues" for sure.

    I have noticed this as well. It just eats the RAM but I don't know if it is anymore than what any other browser does.

    i thought i was the only one. OSX tiger? if i leave mine open long enough it easily pushes 400+

    yup, i'm on tiger, and no i have made any modifications to it. and :werd: to what jack said, if i have safari open for a few hours it gets rediculous.

    it's always been like that to varying degrees, as have most other web browsers i've tried. just the nature of the beast, i guess.
