In the unsecured area, in most states. People act like as soon as you even get near it it is sacred ground. No laws in Connecticut.

The Washington Transit Administration had a "rule" that firearms weren't allowed on any road that could lead to the Dulles Airport. This included the Dulles Access Road and the Dulles Toll Road. They finally backed down lately. Can't preempt the state :mamoru:

I'm pretty sure most of the airports I've been through have signs that say "no weapons allowed" which I think means you can't legally carry in most states... maybe I'm wrong....?

    Basically...

In Texas, if a store/airport has a sign that says ''No Guns Allowed'', that is not a legal sign.

However, no sign is needed after the secure part of an airport because you have to know that...just like a courthouse/federal building/polling place/etc...

Why no carry allowed at polling places?? Doesn't make much sense (as with the other restrictions)...

I am pretty sure it is illegal in most states to have a gun in a building of an airport

Not expressly forbidden in GA, but TSA still fingerfucks my luggage when I travel with mine.

Speaking for OR, it's perfectly legal to carry in the unsecured portion of an airport.

'Far as I know, the rules are different for government in TX. They can forbid weapons and post any sign they care to ... or not post one at all, and the law is on their side.

Wat? If it's not a 30.06 sign, 51% place, or exclusively referred to in the penal code, then it doesn't matter what kind of bullshit sign someone puts up, you can still carry if you have a chl.

In TN, any private place can post a no-guns sign as long as the language is consistent with the code provided by the Attorney General. A gun with a red circle and line through it, is not.

The unsecured part of the airport here is pretty much the 50ft between the front door and the security check so theres not much point.

Yes, but in that 50' you can meet someone getting off a plane and not have to disarm to do it.
