That's the result of shooting about 200 rounds of Remington 22 Thunderbolt through a Single-Six. The gun is admittedly rather old (probably manufactured in the mid-1960s), but if that's to be expected from cheap-ass non-jacketed lead bullets, I might just pay a premium for FMJ or at least plated 22LR and jump up to, oh, $0.04 per bullet (BIG MONEY BIG MONEY BIG MONEY, no whammies!).

Big chunks of concentrated lead fouling that I managed to eject extract from the barrell of the revolver when I cleaned it today.

I can't really tell how big they are without a size reference, but I get sizable flakes of lead all the time when I clean my revolvers after shooting. It comes out really easy though. Still use the cheap shit.

It was thinner than paper-thin and about the size of a 22LR casing before I had to break it off in order to remove the cleaning rod.

what i've put through my 10/22 since ive gotten it:

    1000 rounds of CCI
550 rounds of remington (bonus pack from wally world)

on my shelf i have the 500 round value pack of federal, and a 550 round pack of winchester to try.

i've had no problems, other than a gunked up magazine which some break free solved :wiggle:

My 10/22 shoots anything, and it never has problems. Cheap ammo FTW.
