Yeah, I'll be done here at the end of March, though.

Flint is different than most urban areas. That area was hit so hard economically. There basically haven't been any jobs there since the GM plant shut down in like the 80's. Watch the movie Roger and Me (a Michael Moore film) and you'll see how fucked up that area is.

There is a part where he videotapes a woman hitting rabbits on the head with a hammer and skinning them to sell the rabbit fur/meat. If you are that poor and have to do that to fucking rabbits to make money, that is bad.

He bends the truth a little in the movie just because the events are out of sequence, but you could just watch it to see the interviews of the townspeople and what happens after the plant shuts down. Like half the town got evicted and the people that stayed had to do some ridiculous shit to keep afloat (i.e. afformentioned rabbit lady. She raises them to eat them and sells a few as pets/food, and also sells the fur.) Being in Flint isn't like being in any other urban city in the world, it's almost 3rd-world feeling.

Thats for sure. That general area is where I had to pull my gun on someone. It was late at night, and a rather large, loud, drunk and/or high person of another race kept following me as I walked asking me why I wouldn't give him money....

I finally let my chrome 38 snub do the talking. I pulled the gun (roughly 25-30 feet between us), aimed it at him from my waist level and told him "I don't want any problems." He got the picture, turned around and walked away.

The End. Ever since then, I have tried to carry at least one gun with me everywhere I go.

They're very run down... not sure of why so many caught on fire but it could be due to bad wiring, stupid owners... :dunno:

Most of those houses have been demolished as part of an effort to clean up the area around my school. I'm sure most of those houses were used as drug houses too...

    Weird.

Seems strange to burn your own crack den down. Know what I mean?

The victorian(ish) house was sad. :( My aunt owned one of those before she died.

This is what it looks like now. :hsd:

Edit: My aunt and uncle both died in that house lol And it has not been a hotel since 1985.
