I don't even remember what was the last action movie that I saw with a good action hero. The Stallones and Schwarzeneggers type characters have died. Why is that?

I wish that it had evolved and we would have seen characters similar to the Schwarzeneggers and Stallones but maybe a little bit smarter, etc.

Now that I think of it, Matt Damon:rofl: was the last good action hero I saw in his Jason Bourne series.

last die hard movie was 2007. Willis is a good old action hero tho.

I'm talking about NEW ones. Seems like all the new actors want to make stuff like Twlight...

I know their have been some actors that have tried (IE Vin Diesel) but have fallen flat.

Someone that might have been good was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson but now that numbnuts is doing movies like "The Tooth Fairy" :ugh:

I could never see Will Smith as a action hero. Thats just

    Schwarzenegger became a politician.
Seagal went back to being a cop.
VanDam has some stupid reality show.

I guess they just all got old and the torch was never really carried onto the next generation. Now we have Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon trying to be action stars, and while they're good actors, action stars they are not. The only actors I really consider to be action stars right now are Christian Bale and Jason Stathom.

Action and sci-fi have been going hand-in-hand for a while. Some quick examples are Escape from NY/LA, Starship Troopers, and Death Race 2000(and the new one too but that one isn't old).

I consider Christian Bale to be a good action hero...And I guess Jason Statham, His upcoming role in "The Expendables" will be interesting. Also I just found out he is in the remake of "The Mechanic"

Because idolizing big muscular men is the definition of homo eroticism. Stallone and Schwarzenegger are the last people I want to see in any movie.

Actually, Neo in the matrix filled this role pretty nicely without being a muscle bound red neck with the IQ of a minnow...
