Why don't alot of Power Lifters looks so Broly??

    You know, the ones you see lifting huuuge amounts of weight at the Olympics or special events.

    They look big and kinda fat but not overly muscular.
    Why is that?

    I thought muscles = strength.
    Or are they very muscular but they need big size too as an advantage?

    They've got lots of muscle, its just not showing cos they don't bother cutting. There doing it for effect, not for look.

    Holy crap some of those guys are tiny!
    How is it they can lift so much yet not grow huge muscles?
    Something to do rather with muscle density or something?

    i read that it is not uncommon for the chinese lifters to be able to overhead squat more than they can front squat.. or something like that :eek3:

    So how come sometimes a more bigger and more muscular guy cannot match the strength of a smaller person? :eek3:

    I want to get bigger just as much as I want to get stronger.
    So what would be something to avoid here?

    Muscle density?

    Some type of training increases strength most, and another type of training increases size I guess :dunno:

    Also what training would work on size?
    Cause right now I'm just a tiny asian who wants to be the next John Cena! :x: :hsd:

    in terms of olympic and power lifting the bigger guys can almost always beat the smaller divisions..

    you have obviously never been to one of these events... These guys are FUCKING HUGE pictures don't do them justice.
    Also most of them are fully clothed or in gear.

    serios.... I'll be in home in the mirror like "well if i cut some fat maybe i'd look ok :hsugh:" then i go to the gym and I'm next to even just a medium-size guy and I look like a bitch :o

    Depends on if ur talking about Powerlifters vs Olympic lifters. As far as the smaller olypic lifters, there is alot of skill/technique involved. Also may have that whole nervous system training thing going on.

    (i dont really know what i'm talking about)

    Most of the pl'ers I know may have a higher bf% but at the same time carry huge amounts of muscle mass. At the same time i know many lean pl'ers. In the end weight = leverage and strength.. its not a direct corralation but it sure helps to be bigger.
