I mean the guy is one of the richest in the DCU. Why not get a suit that enhances everything so he doesn't get fucked up as often :hsughno:

i would say because the whole point of Batman in the DC universe is that while the other heros are "Godly" powerful, he is just a man with alot of money. If he was as strong as clark or could fly it would ruin what he represents.

i'll watch it and enjoy it. I guess we'll have to wait and see what how he does, although a nobody might have worked out better.

    Can't wait for iron man.

batman sequel ought to be great, i had my doubts about the first one and Nolan blew me away with how good he made it.

the joker ought to be a much darker character then the wacky nature some of the comic writers claim him to be. instead of killing people with laughing gas and leaving a massive smile on his face...in this movie we should see the "smile" as a form of a massive cut from ear to ear :noes:

Pretty simple answer really: he wants to be just as helpless as he was the night his parents were killed. Thats also the reason he usually prefers not to use weapons/etc against people.

so having a bunch of other high-tech gear, car, plane, supercomputer, martial arts training, and advantage of darkness wearing black/grey = helpless as a 6yr old boy?

Plane/car/computer just let him get to where he is going. Training is to make sure it never happens again.

    WHAT ELSE YOU GOT?

computer lets him research all of the bad guys so he knows their weaknesses. Plane/car are bulletproof and have all sorts of cool offensive/defensive weaponry. And he still has all of those gadgets on his belt. He's not helpless :o

    He is hand to hand.

A typical batman story involves him not being able to reach his belt, etc.

    WHAT NOW? BRING IT!

I guess you could say he technically doesn't need one since most of the time he's fighting standard criminals.

    Problems with suit:
    1. No psychological edge - criminals would know he's a guy in a suit, instead of maybe a demon in the shadows.
    2. He would waste time refining the suit instead of solving crimes.
    3. Probably would make too much noise, thus losing the element of surprise.

John Henry Irons is the Tony Stark of DC Comics, so it wouldn't make sense to give Batman a suit like him.

A better question would be if Tony Stark is so smart why can't he transplant a heart into his chest instead of being the Marvel Universe version of a 1980's walkman
